Mayors CupMayors Cup: Today Waverley hosted Bondi, Bronte and Diamond Bay for the Mayors Cup. A competition held between all clubs within the Waverley Municipality. It was the first running of the event since precovid times and will now return to an annual event hosted in turn by the four clubs. It was a marvellous win for Waverley who reclaimed the Mayors Cup with both rinks going through all 3 rounds undefeated. Waverley defeated Diamond Bay in game 1, 30-10 (4-0) and backed up to dispose of Bronte 36-13 (4-0) in round 2. Round 3 became a final with Waverley up against an undefeated Bondi. The Waverley players saved their best for this round winning handsomely, 37-4 (4-0) and reclaiming the Cup. Final scores: Waverley 12 points +76 Bondi 6 points -11 Diamond Bay 3.5 points -43 Bronte 2.5 points -22. Congratulations Marilyn Eccles, Sharon McAffee, Matt Cook, Rick Roper, Jen Hill, Shannon Cook, Dan Roper and Terry Pappas. Thankyou to Bondi, Bronte and Diamond Bay.
